Deposit requirement will be determined by a credit check executed by a credit reporting service at the time of initial contact. The deposit will be collected prior to service connection. Other circumstances may warrant charging a deposit as determined by Heartland REMC. Deposits will be returned to the member as a credit on the bill if credit history for the proceeding twelve month period indicates no more than two (2) times late and no disconnection of service.
