Members have recently been receiving calls from someone pretending to be from Heartland REMC. This caller tells the member their account is up for disconnection. The member is then instructed to pay a large amount or they will be disconnected within the hour. This is a scam. Heartland assists in hurricane recovery
Crews deployed to Georgia Today
Heartland REMC is sending crews and equipment to assist in Hurricane Irma recovery efforts. The storm has created widespread property damage with more than 6 million without power in the southeastern part of the country.
An estimated 60 Indiana electric cooperative linemen left Indiana Electric Cooperatives in Indianapolis Tuesday, Sept. 12. The crews will work in two week shifts until power is restored to the region.
